SKU 1986
'Young Man in Sarong', gouache and ink on paper, by French School artist, M. Prost (circa 1950s). Discovered in Paris, this colourful depiction of a young man wearing a traditional sarong is absolutely charming. Not knowing exactly where this type of sarong hails from, the young man could be from the Malay archipelago, Polynesia, or many places in South Asia or even Africa. Whatever the case may be, this painting delights all who view it. It has been recently framed with anti-reflective glass. It is in good overall condition with few signs of fading. Upon request a video will be provided. Regrettably, there is no information which can be found regarding the artist, M. Prost, who painted this work.
