West German Art Pottery is well-known for its great variety of forms and expressive mid-century colours. Since the 2000s, ceramic West German Art Pottery has become increasingly collectible and the first books on the subject were published and some major collections put on display.

This large jug-handled vase is orange at the top with an earthen coloured circle motif around the body.  The markings on the vase base (see image below) say: 'W. Germany 408-40' and it is in excellent vintage condition.
