Vintage French Rectangular Wall Mirror by Gallery Palissy (circa 1960s)

A striking mid-century glazed ceramic mirror by Galerie Palissy, Vallauris, France, dating to the 1960s. This relatively small piece exemplifies the distinctive Riviera modernism that defined Vallauris ceramics in the postwar decades — a blend of artisanal craft and sculptural form. The rectangular frame, crafted in textured earthenware, features a deeply modelled surface with incised and relief geometric motifs. Its rich, hand-applied glazes catch the light beautifully, highlighting the natural irregularities of the clay. The mirror retains its original glass and is fitted with a sturdy hanging loop on the reverse.
