Vintage French Leaf-Shaped Ceramic Dish by Marcel Guillot (circa 1960s)
SKU 1164B
Vintage French leaf-shaped ceramic dish by Marcel Guillot (circa 1960s). An impressive, modern dish with speckled, matt, off-white interior surface and leaf motif with slightly raised tactile lines such as leaf veins. In contrast, the bottom surface is of a lustrous, chocolate brown enamel up to the lip. A unique piece from a French artisan whose works are becoming more appreciated as his reputation soars. This gallery has another with black trim. The piece is in good vintage condition commensurate with age. Guillot's later pieces such as this one were stamped, 'Guillot France' rather than signed.
