Vintage French Ceramic Zoomorphic Vase by Jacques Pouchain (circa 1960s) - Small
SKU 2269
Small glazed ceramic stylised owl vase by Jacques Pouchain (circa 1960s). This is a delightful ceramic vase in Pouchain's inimitable style. The cylindrical base remains in its raw clay form yet the upper portion is a smooth, tactile glaze decorated with circular, ascending lines which emanate from the clay base. A protruding tale indicates the owl's head is turned 90 degrees to his left. It makes for a quirky and original form. It is certainly a conversation piece. In very good overall condition. Signed and marked: 'L'Atelier Dieulefit' and the encircled initials, 'JP' which signify his more personal pieces. Please enjoy the many accompanying photos to this listing. Upon request a video will be provided.
