Ceramic lamp (c. 1950s) by Jacques Blin (1920 - 1995). This lamp has Blin's signature cloudy glaze featuring etchings of fanciful images of what appear to be animals from ancient cave drawings. The lamp is in good vintage condition and is highly collectible. Currently wired for UK use but may be easily adapted locally to your electrical usage. Signed on the base: 'J Blin'. Lamp shade not included. Upon request a video of the lamp may be provided.

About the Artist: Jacques Blin was an engineer by trade but with a love for the visual arts. His style is immediately recognisable. His signature glaze is characterised by a more or less misty appearance and by decoration deeply marked in the raw clay, a method he used throughout his career. He frequently used fanciful birds, primitive animals, stylised figures and whimsical abstract motifs in his works which are always signed "J. Blin".
