Vintage French Desk Chair with Armrests by Jean-Louis Bonnant (circa 1956). Rare version of the black lacquered metal chair with an openwork backrest famous for having appeared in Jacques Tati's first colour film, "Mon Oncle" (My Uncle), in 1958.
This model has armrests in solid ash, with a characterful patina. The seat has a pistachio green cover showing some traces of use. One of the foot's rubber covers has a split.
