'Villa Courtyard in Provence', oil on board, French School (circa 1930s). There are times when one wants a beautiful painting on the wall that just brings a smile to one's face and tranquility to one's mood. This charming and inviting depiction of a shaded courtyard in a Provencal villa does just that. Beautifully executed by an artist from the French School, this artwork invites one to dream from that courtyard bench under the foliage and to imagine what is beyond the wide wooden door of the villa in Provence. In good vintage condition commensurate with age. There is a small chip in the oil in the very lower left of the work which does not affect the overall impression of the viewer. Newly framed and backed. Unsigned. Upon request, a video of the piece will be provided.
