'The Death of Jesus', oil on board, by Italian artist G. Ciacci (1971). This depicts four robed figures, one in black and three others who are poised seemingly over the body of Jesus after crucification. The three figures in the coloured robes look to be overseeing the care given by the dark-robed person. Like its pair also available on this site ('The Birth'), there are bold, painterly strokes. The piece, discovered in Italy, is in a tray frame. Signed: 'G. Ciacci, 1971'. In excellent vintage condition.
