'The Birth' oil on board, by Italian artist G. Ciacci (1965). This image seems to depict the birth of Jesus. Two figures stand over the new mother with holy baby in this expressionist painting. There are bold, painterly strokes in blues, white, reddish-orange and black. The piece, discovered in Italy, is a striking work of religious significance. Artwork is in a beautiful glazed wooden tray frame with linen backdrop. Signed: G. Ciacci, 1965. This painting's pair is also for sale on this site and ostensibly depicts the death of Jesus. In excellent vintage condition commensurate with age.
