About the Artist: Kumiko Kuroda (1914 - 1995), Tokyo born, Japanese, award-winning artist with a special affinity for botanical art. Her works have figured in auction house sales and are held in private and public collections. Her husband, Yoritsuna Kuroda, is an artist in his own right and author of a book on the depictions of the female form in art.
