'Riverview of Dinan', watercolour, crayon and pencil on paper (c. 1950s), by Robert Kervalo (1902 - 1974). Dinan is one of the most beautiful cities in Brittany in the western part of France. A medieval fortified town built into the hillside but also enjoying a river, it is a protected heritage site of France. This artwork depicts an autumnal view of splendid Breton architecture just alongside the river in the old port. The autumnal colours are magnificent with the backdrop of stone buildings and a cloudy Breton sky. Just perfect for that small niche in your home or office that needs a stunning point of interest with colour. In excellent vintage condition. Newly framed with glass. Signed in lower right hand: 'Kervalo'. A short video of this work can be provided upon request.
