'Reclining Woman in Abstract', acrylic and wax crayon on fine art paper, (circa 2000), by Yiannis Kadras (b. 1962). A lively and colourful abstract composition with pink, coral, greens and blues. The work depicts a reclining nude posing for the artist who has, in turn, created a harmonious cubist abstraction. Art such as this lifts the spirit and enlivens any space at home or work in which it is displayed. Newly framed and in very good condition with a minor crease appearing in the upper right hand corner of the piece. Upon request, a video of the work may be provided for context. About the Artist: Yiannis Kadras was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1962 where he took an interest in art at a young age. In 1983 he graduated from the Benkov School of Fine Arts in Tashkent (1979 - 1983) and in 1990 graduated from the School of Fine Arts of the Ostrovski Institute. Throughout his studies he was awarded a full arts scholarship. Kadras is now based in Athens, Greece where he has become a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts in 1996. Kadras has an international following and his works are sold at auction by the major houses.
