Pair of Aluminium and Brass Candlesticks by David Marshall (circa 1980s)
SKU 0637
Pair of brutalist aluminium and brass candlesticks by David Marshall (circa 1980s). Very unique pair of candlesticks which are both weighty and tactile, curvy and sensuous. The maker's mark is impressed on the surface of the base. The underside of the base retains the trademark leather cover with maker's signature logo as well. On the top of the brass bases you will find capital letters which at first glance, seem like Roman Numerals. However, this is not the case and these pieces may have been made for a specific client who requested this sequence. Overall the candlesticks are in good vintage condition with characterful marks and some blemishing consistent with age and usage.
