Mid-century ceramic table lamp (circa 1950s) by Jacques Blin. This beautifully rust-coloured French lamp encompasses Blin's characteristic misty glaze. Highly collectible. The shade is not included. Re-wired for UK use. Signed on the underside: 'J. Blin'. Upon request a video of the piece will be provided. In fair vintage condition with minor blemishes evident, not however, affecting the overall impression or beauty of the piece. Please enjoy the many photos accompanying the listing. About the Artist: Jacques Blin (1920-1995), an engineer by trade but with a love for the visual arts. Blin has an immediately recognisable style characterised by a more or less misty appearance of the glaze and by decoration deeply marked in the raw clay, a method he used throughout his career. He frequently depicted fanciful birds, primitive animals, stylised figures and whimsical abstract motifs in his works which are always signed "J. Blin".
