'Lively Street Scene' by Pierre Ambrogiani (circa 1960s)

SKU 0992

'Lively Street Scene', oil on board, by Pierre Ambrogiani (circa 1960s). Most likely in the artist's home town of Marseille, a spirited scene with people seemingly celebrating on the streets animates the artwork. Or, it may be a depiction of one of Marseille's food or fish markets in close that the artist has captured in other works. Whatever the case, there is a wonderful balance and symmetry to the subjects in the painting and vibrant colour to stimulate the eye. The piece has been newly framed with a linen slip and is in fair to good vintage condition. It is signed by the artist in the lower centre portion of the painting. Please view the many photos accompanying the listing. Upon request, a short video may be provided.
