'Interior Still Life', oil on board (circa 1940s - 1950s), by artist with initials J.G.. A magnificent cubist still life of a room filled with interest. Fruit, playing cards, musical instruments and many cubist curiosities invite the viewer's attention. The execution of the artwork is faultless - balance, subtle colour and a significant presence combine to make this a very collectible piece. It was surely inspired by Georges Braque's (1882 - 1963) cubist style. Unfortunately, detail of the artist's life is limited other than they lived in Berlin in the period after WWII. In excellent vintage condition commensurate with its age - newly framed. Initialed: 'J.G.' in the lower right hand corner.
