French Decorative Ceramic Bowl with Horse Motif (circa 1950s)

French decorative ceramic bowl (circa 1950s). Discovered in the South of France, this is a diminutive but elegantly stylish bowl of buff-coloured earthenware glaze, covered similarly on the inside with a galloping horse under-the-moon motif. The lip is beige accented with darker areas and stylish drips. There are two handles with beige tops and buff colour undersides. Around the outer sides repeat a saddled-horse motif. It is weighty for its size with a flat, earthen-coloured base with unknown maker's mark. In good vintage condition. Please view the many photos accompanying this listing.
