Cubist Nude Portrait of Standing Woman by Kosta Stojanovitch (circa 1950s)

A cubist nude portrait of a reclining woman in model pose, in gouache and pencil on fine art paper (circa 1950s), by Eastern European artist Kosta Stojanovitch. This work is one in a series of several images. Here, an imposing woman stands confidently in a relaxed pose for the artist. The body's lines and contours are rendered in cubist style defined by muted but varied hues which breathe life into the work. Although the art is executed naïvely, it was surely very avant-garde in its day. This piece has been reglazed, mounted and backed and is in good condition commensurate with age. The work is unsigned but acquired in a grouping of artworks by the same creator.
