About the artist: Mithé Espelt is reknowned for her production of ceramic mirrors of remarkable originality and often mistakenly confused with those of François Lembo. The Mithé Espelt workshop was in Lunel, France near Montpellier. The atelier mastered the technical challenges of using gold and enamel for their signature style mirrors and elegant boxes which were often encrusted with crystals and vibrant stones. Today, her daughter, Marion DeCrecy, continues the family tradition making contemporary versions of her parents' designs as well as new original motifs.
