Ceramic Stylised Bird Vase by Dominique Pouchain (circa 1980s)
SKU 1652
French glazed ceramic stylised bird vase by Dominique Pouchain (circa 1980s). Quirky and original, these ceramic birds are by the son of Jacques Pouchain, well-known French ceramicist. Dominique, born in 1956, initially created utilitarian pottery but soon after started working on his first animal sculptures and thereby developed a serious group of collectors in his own right. This whimsical bird was created in the 1980s and is in very good overall condition. It may just bring a smile to your face when it reminds you of a ceramic version of a bathroom rubber duckie. On the other hand, it is a serious collectible ceramic and is signed on the underside: 'Dominique Pouchain'. Please enjoy the many photos accompanying this listing. Upon request a video may be provided.
