Bay Keramik Germany Sugar Bowl with Lid (c. 1960s)
Mid-Century ceramic sugar bowl and lid from Bay Keramik, founded by Eduard Bay and based in Ransbach Baumbach in the heart of the main West German pottery producing region. Bodo Mans was amongst their most famous designers. This vintage eye-shaped sugar bowl with lid was discovered in a street market in Berlin. The lid still bears a seal marked 'Bad Salzuflen' and the remnants of the original Bay Keramik sticker afifxed off-center. This bowl is very special and in good vintage condition. The base reads '210 Germany' and is inked stamped '5' with another illegible marking.
