Ask a Question

This aluminium and brass tray (circa 1980s) by David Marshall is weighty and wonderfully tactile with the maker's mark impressed on the brass surface. David Marshall also created logo products for Spanish companies, in this case Domecq Sherry. There are small handles on the far ends of the brass which frames the shiny aluminium. The bottom has the trademark leather base, slightly worn. This piece is in good vintage condition with characterful marks, nicks and blemishes consistent with its age and usage. They only add to the charm of this piece. Please view the many photos accompanying this listing. Upon request, a short video of the piece may be provided.

About the Designer: More than fifty years ago, attracted by the climate, light and magnificent scenery, David Marshall left his native Scotland, settled in southern Spain and commenced his artistic career. Inspired by the mountainous surroundings and all the detritus of nature – David developed a thriving design business working with institutional and private clients worldwide. His metal works from the 1970s have become iconic and are now seriously collectible pieces.
