Ask a Question

Mid-century ceramic lamp (circa 1960s), by an unknown French ceramicist. Tactile lines are etched on the surface of this imposing but elegant lamp. It has a bulbous base and a trunk like a Roman column - almost verdigris in appearance. The creator may have been inspired visually by some works of Jacques Blin (1920 - 1995), noted ceramicist from Vallauris, France. This piece is so appealing in its originality. The ceramicist has signed the bottom base but her full name is unclear. Currently wired for European use but may be modified.

Upon request a video clip may be provided to add context.
