'Woman Carrying Watermelon', pencil and watercolour on fine paper (circa 1970s), by Jacques Segal (b. 1933). A delightful depiction of a young woman, probably from North Africa, where the artist traveled extensively. On her head she carries a wooden bowl of sliced watermelon of lively greens and reds with a backdrop of a deep blue Mediterranean sky. A charming yet captivating work of art that promises to bring a smile to your face and fill that niche in your home of office that has been empty for so long. This piece is in the original frame with new mount and glaze and is in excellent vintage condition. Signed: 'Jacques Segal' over the artist's official caché. A video clip of this work may be provided upon request.
