Marked by the clash between abstraction and realism which raged in the immediate post-war period, she began to produce works that integrated the principles of cubism while retaining their references to figurative art. In 1954, she won the Casa Velasquez Prize, and soon became one of the young female artists of note to the critics. She won the Prix du Dôme in 1958 and in 1959 was selected by an elite jury to participate in the first Paris Biennale at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris. Step by step Rosso's work to a turn towards abstraction deploying a palette of warm colours and a universe of thoughtful and structured shapes with rounded contours. She combined the power of colour contrasts and formal depth. During her lifetime the artist participated in numerous fairs and exhibitions, notably at the Gérard Mourgue Academy, the Taylor Foundation and the Salons Biennale de Paris. Her works are held in both private French and international collections. Her works are also held in the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris and the Museum of Saint-Etienne in France.
