'The Walk in Roquebrune', oil on canvas, by Henri Auchere (circa 1980s). An expressionist whose interpretation of light and colour is extraordinarily pleasant, Auchere's artworks bring both smiles and joy to their viewers. This work is a deliciously inviting painting that features two men strolling along a flowered pathway in one of the most beautiful villages in France. Unsure whether they are walking together, both subjects seem captivated by the beauty of their surroundings as they meander along the tree-lined street. Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is a lesser-traveled gem on the French Riviera, celebrated for its picturesque medieval village and unspoiled coastline. Château de Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, a fortified castle dating back to the 10th century, is believed to be the oldest in France overlooks the village. This artwork is in very good overall condition, framed with a French-style linen slip. It is signed by the artist in the lower left hand. Please enjoy the many photos accompanying this listing. Upon request a video will be provided. (The French title of this painting is 'La Chamade de Roquebrune'
