'The Bather', oil on board, by Jean Rudel (circa 1950s). A young woman sits on the sandy Mediterranean beach in the South of France in her vivid red bathing costume. WIth her, are the blue sky, the sea and the pure bliss of contact with the fine grains of warm sand on her skin. The artist beautifully captures this joyful moment with his brush preserving it for the pleasure of the viewer forever. The work is in good vintage condition commensurate with age. It has been newly framed with linen slip and is signed 'Jean Rudel' in the lower right hand corner. Upon request a video of the piece may be provided.

About the Artist: Frenchman Jean Rudel (1917-2008) from Montpellier. (Note: the artist's father, Jean-Aristide Rudel, is also very well known with a style of his very own and different from that of his son's).
