'Strollers on Verdant Path' by Sanza (c. 1890s)
Oil on board, 'Strollers on Verdant Path' by an artist named Sanza (c. 1890s) probably of Italian origins although the painting was discovered in the S. of France. Impressionist painting of hatted ladies on a stroll through the park - light seeping through the foliage highlighting their wear. Vibrant greens, yellows, pinks and dabs of red and blue appear in this small but mesmerising painting. Perfect for that bare little nook or corner in your home to give it some interest and a focal point. In excellent vintage condition. Newly reframed. Magnificent value for art of this age.
