About the Artist: Pascal Ambrogiani (1909-1989) was born in Marseille, France of Corsican parents and is the brother of another well known expressionist painter, Pierre Ambrogiani. Like his brother, Pascal left an impressive body of work of dazzling colour. He was considered a virtuoso of gouache, a technique he mastered in the same way he did with oils, landscapes, maritime scenes, bouquets of flowers, fishes and a variety of other still lifes. In the 1980's he moved to the Parisian right bank and the Galerie Drouant, steps from the Elysée palace, became his agent of record. Pascal's works have been exhibited worldwide: New York, LA, Chicago, Tokyo, London and throughout Europe and his works sold at auction extensively.
