'Standing Cubist Nude' by STM (circa 1950s-70s)
SKU 0908
'Standing Cubist Nude', oil on board, by artist with the initials STM (circa 1950s-70s). A splendid cubist depiction, this is a sizeable portrait of a standing nude figure in geometric perspective. The earth-tone hues - brown, beige, yellow, clay-red with a soupçon of brilliant blue all combine in angular forms and on interlocking planes. This eye-catching work was surely inspired by Pablo Picasso's early cubist style. The work is in very good vintage condition and has been newly framed with linen slip. Initialed 'STM' in lower right hand corner. Please carefully view the accompanying photos to best assess its condition and style. Upon request, a short video clip of the piece may be provided.
