'Portrait of a Red-Headed Boy', oil on board, by unknown Eastern European artist (circa 1970s). A thoughtful depiction of a boy who seems transfixed with wonder, perhaps by his beautiful surroundings, the verdant plant life, a warm sun and the idyllic life portrayed by artists of the school of Socialist Realism. The artist's treatment of light on the boy is superb and his outstanding technique, undeniable. In excellent vintage condition in original frame with new linen mounting surrounding raised inner support. A short video of this work may be provided upon request.
