'Orthodox Christian Church in Winter', oil on board, by unknown Eastern European artist (circa 1970s). A delightful wintery scene of an impressive architectural gem, an Eastern Orthodox Christian church, enveloped by snow. The blustery white sky as background combined with the snow on the ground have the effect of projecting the painted image forward towards the viewer. In original frame on new linen mount. The painting is in very good vintage condition and the frame showing characterful signs of wear, including scratches, blemishes and nicks. Unsigned. A short video of this work may be provided upon request.
