Mid-Century Italian wall mirror with brass frame and top flourish (circa 1950s). This mirror is indeed a rare piece with decorative glass art. The ovals appear raised, but are not. Each is also separated by two stylish parallel lines lending an element of art deco to the glass. It is classically-shaped presenting a charming top flourish in the form of a decorative crown. The mirror frame is in overall good condition with a characterful patina commensurate with age. Please note there is substantial foxing of the glass attesting to its age and character. There was no thought to replacing this very rare and beautiful glass as many in the design trade believe the foxing 'blemishes' add much to the piece. However, if you would prefer new glass, please contact us before moving forward with the purchase. As it is, it remains simply elegant and characterful in a 1930s style. There is a wood backing providing strength and security to the piece. Please enjoy the many accompanying photographs. Upon request a video will be provided.
