'French Riviera View', oil on wood, French School (circa 1950s). Discovered in the South of France, this charming oil painting depicts one of the small coastal village towns of the Riviera - it may be St. Tropez. The image transports the viewer to the warmth of that tranquil, idyllic place. Who wouldn't want to be there right now?

It's regrettable that an artist doesn't sign their work as this one clearly had a keen eye, embracing that style somewhere between figuration and impressionism. The work is newly framed with a French-style linen slip and is in good overall condition. The colours have retained their vibrancy over time. Please enjoy the many photos accompanying the work. Upon request a video will be provided.
