Ask a Question

Large vintage French ceramic vase (circa 1940s). Decorated with bands of thistles on a crackleware cream background this unique earthenware piece's origins are mysterious. The signature mark on the base seems untraceable yet there is a production number along with it which implies a sizeable operation. Regardless, it is a piece whose charm is derived from its quirky design and inviting presence. The mark on the underside, while hard to read, seems to be inscribed with:  "3 1 Les Yocleney (?) 137". Please enjoy the many photos accompanying this listing. Upon request a video will be provided.
