SKU 1056
Small early 20th century Italian passata bowl from the South of Italy - probably Puglia or Calabria. Created to make tomato passata, these homespun terracotta bowls are made of rustic earthenware on the exterior and a charming, glazed interior of spotted pesto-coloured green over an oatmeal-coloured base. Since they were made by hand, each is a unique piece with its own characterful pattern. It is in fair vintage condition commensurate with age and usage. The existing nicks and cuts give it its antique charm and provide interest for display making it all the more collectible. Please view the many photos accompanying the listing.
