Vintage French Ceramic Set of Vessels by Roger Capron (circa 1960s)

A Mid-Century French ceramic set consisting of a milk jug, a creamer, two cups and two stemmed 'glasses' by master ceramicist, Roger Capron (circa 1960s). Signed under the base with model number (the stemmed glasses have model number only). This beautiful set was discovered in the S. of France and carry one of his trademark styles which appear as coloured tiles and geometric motifs - each slightly different than the others. After all these years, the colours are still vibrant and bold with the Capron workshop signature appearing on the bottom of each except for the stemmed vessels. A wonderful addition to any collection or simply inspiring conversation pieces, this set is a must-have for those searching authenticity, quality and craftsmanship with a history. About the Artist: Roger Capron (1922-2006), who founded the craft-based workshop in Vallauris, France, l'Atelier Callis, contributed to a veritable renaissance of pottery and ceramics. Capron left behind a considerable body of internationally acclaimed works and is collected worldwide.
