Mid-century ceramic flower vase (circa 1960s) by Michel Barbier. A tall single-flower vase with abstract motif combining a jade green and brown over an off-white elegant glaze with small specks. The understated colours of the vase means the piece will suit most décor schemes at home or in your work place. In very good condition. Maker's mark in the form of Barbier's stylised bird appears on the underside of the ceramic. There are many photos accompanying the listing. Upon request a video may be provided.

About the Artist: Michel Barbier (1933-2012), was ceramic decorator in Vallauris, France, for Gustave Reynaud's Le Mûrier, along with Jean Derval, Reynaud's brother-in-law who designed production models. Barbier's pieces sported stylised birds and foliage which were the most common themes both for utilitarian and for exhibition pieces in which abstract motifs were also employed.
