Cubist nude portrait of a seated young man, in pastel and gouache on fine art paper (1950s), by Eastern European artist, Kosta Stojanovitch. This work is one in a series of four images. Here, the seated male's physique, athletic and defined, befits the cubist style with his lines and angles defined by vibrant colours which breathe life into the work. Although the art is executed naïvely, it surely must have seemed very avant-garde in its day. This piece has been reframed and glazed and is in very good vintage condition commensurate with age. This is the only work in the series that is unsigned.
