For purchased items BIA do offer a 7 day cooling off-period whereby the customer is entitled to a full refund (excluding shipping charges), no questions asked. To notify us that you wish to cancel the order, simply contact us. Once the products reach us and are confirmed to be in the same condition at shipping, we will issue a refund to your original payment account within 5 business days. All sales are final after 7 days unless the goods in question are proven faulty/unfit for purpose. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We encourage BIA shoppers to view vintage items in person when possible. Please contact us if you would like to view an item before purchase. Our private showroom is located in London, SE16, near Canada Water underground station. In the case of high value items, BIA may be able to convey the item to your home to facilitate a viewing in your own space. This applies to London post codes only.
Mid-century ceramic vase by Jacques Pouchain / Atelier Dieulefit (circa 1960s). Classic small cylindrical vase in Pouchain's signature cloudy glaze style with earth tone hues. Pouchain uses a contemporary motif on the body of the vase with long lines topped by circular shapes somewhat reminiscent of sunflowers. Stylish and elegant and very collectible. In very good vintage condition. Maker's mark partially covered over: 'L'Atelier Dieulefit'. Please see the numerous accompanying photos in order to appreciate the aesthetics and condition of the piece. Upon request a video clip can be provided.
About the Artist: Jacques Pouchain (1925 - 2015) left Paris and gave up his architectural training in the 1950s for the South of France to devote himself to art and his pottery studio at Dieulefit. He produced highly personal work and more commercial pieces as well both revealing a modern approach to pottery. Pouchain's ceramics have an international following and have been sold at several of the major auction houses.
