Ceramic Stylised Bird Vase by Jacques Pouchain (circa 1960s)
SKU 1022
Glazed ceramic, stylised bird vase by Jacques Pouchain (circa 1960s). This is a delightful, sculpted, ceramic vase in Pouchain's inimitable style. The rounded base is decorated with circular, ascending lines and a drip glaze which emanates from the virtual wings. The wings are visual only, simply formed by a smooth, unmarked glaze in the bulbous body of the bird. The protruding tail is original and fantastical. What a conversation piece! In very good vintage condition. Signed and marked: 'L'Atelier Dieulefit' and the encircled initials, 'JP' which signify his more personal pieces. Please view the accompanying photos to this listing carefully to appreciate its condition and aesthetic qualities. Upon request a video of the piece may be provided.
