Small French ceramic vase (c. 1950s) by Jacques Blin. This diminutive, elegantly-shaped vase with sensuous curves has a cloudy glaze featuring 'primitive' plant life motifs. It is surely an attention-getting conversation piece from a notable ceramicist from Vallauris, France. The piece is in good vintage condition and highly collectible. Signed on the underside: 'J. Blin'. Please view all of the accompanying photos with this listing to appreciate and assess the aesthetics and condition of the work. Upon request a video clip can be provided.

About the Artist: Jacques Blin (1920 - 1995) gave up a career in engineering for his love of the visual arts. Blin has an immediately recognisable style characterised by a more or less misty appearance of the glaze and by decoration deeply marked in the raw clay, a method he used throughout his career. He frequently depicted fanciful birds, primitive animals, stylised figures and abstract motifs in his works which are always signed "J. Blin".
