'The Flowered Well' by Pierre Philippe Bertrand (circa 1960s)
'The Flowered Well' by Pierre Philippe Bertrand, oil on board, circa 1960s. The artist lived in a fisherman's home on the Île d'Yeu off of the French Western coast. This enchanting work depicts an idyllic view of the artist's garden with water well. It will surely bring a smile to your face and perhaps even a bit of that coastal sunlight warmth which is reflecting off of the whitewashed well. The painting has been professionally restored to ensure its longevity and is in good vintage condition commensurate with age. It is also newly framed with a linen slip. Signed by the artist: 'Pierre Bertrand' in lower right hand corner. Upon request a video of the work will be provided.
