About Atelier Cerenne: Created by Charles René Neveux, the Cerenne workshop, active from 1945 - 1958, takes its name from the contraction of its company name "Céramique René Neveux". At the height of its renown, the workshop was one of the most important in Vallauris, employing around fifty people, including 15 decorators. Its production ranged from utilitarian ceramics to unique pieces with special custom orders for French and international customers. Cerenne also created pieces of furniture with ceramic decoration. Pieces signed by René Neveux himself are relatively rare. Claude Vayssier was a decorator at Cerenne from 1952 to 1953 who  settled in nearby Gulf-Juan in 1966 and later worked in 1967 with Le Vaucour.
