Ask a Question

Mid-century ceramic flower vase (circa 1960s) by unknown artist. Sensuously-shaped vase with glaze in dark brown with light-coloured highlights. It's as if the ceramicist poured melted chocolate over the top of the piece and let it ooze down the sides covering some, but not all of the surface. Reflections of light play on the satiny glaze captivating the viewer. Its appeal is also perceptible by touch. In excellent vintage condition. Maker's mark on base of piece but ceramicist remains unknown.
