Vintage French ceramic cachepot by Roger Capron (circa 1970s). A charming Provençal style cover pot presents a surrounding band with repeating plant motif and geometric shapes. There is a hint of blue above and below the decorative band. The pot is graceful and charming all at once from one of the master ceramicists in Provence. In overall good condition with a very slight mark on the lip left from an expertly executed repair in the glaze. Please enjoy the many photos with this listing. Upon request a video may be provided. Signed on the underside: 'Capron Vallauris 049'. 

About the Artist: Roger Capron (1922-2006), who founded the craft-based workshop in Vallauris, France, l'Atelier Callis, where his creations contributed to a veritable renaissance of pottery and ceramics. Capron left behind a considerable body of internationally acclaimed works and is collected worldwide.
