Single rosewood Arne Jacobsen Series 7 armchair for Fritz Hansen (circa 1960s). There's no mistaking the voluptuous hourglass form of Arne Jacobsen's 1955 Model 3107 chair, better known as the Series 7. Jacobsen's Series 7 chair was a paean to modern living: light, stackable and compact. It remains the chair indeed in many contemporary homes. This is the armchair version. In very good vintage condition commensurate with its age and use.

About the Designer: Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) is one of the most important and successful contributors to modern Danish architecture and design in history.
