Ceramic desktop letter and pen holder in the style of Alessio Tasca (circa 1960s). Although unsigned, this ceramic piece matches the sculptural style, colour and texture of works of the master Italian ceramicist, Alessio Tasca. Creatively utilitarian, it is at once a work of art yet sensibly functional. With two slots for documents and envelopes and four round openings for pens and pencils, it's a stylish addition to your desk at work or home and a conversation piece to boot. In good vintage condition with characterful marks commensurate with its age. Upon request a video of the piece will be provided. 

About the Artist: Alessio Tasca was born in the village of Nove just near Vicenza, Italy in 1929. Tasca is a world renowned prize-winning ceramicist whose creations appear in institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome. His creations have been honoured in la Biennale in Venice and appeared in the Salone di Milano.
