Ceramic bull (c. 1960s) by Alessio Tasca (1929 - ). This elegant, minimalist ceramic bull is of the Italian school and in the same style as that of Bruno Gambone. Combining linear geometry with curves, playfulness and serious sculpture, the figure oozes character. The glaze is very tactile and sensuous and the look, mid-century modern. In excellent vintage condition.
About the Artist: Alessio Tasca was born in Nove, Vicenza, Italy in 1929. Tasca is a world renowned prize-winning ceramicist whose creations appear in institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome. His creations have been honoured in la Biennale in Venice and appeared in the Salone di Milano.
